Microdosing Guide

Microdosing is consuming small, sub-perceptible amounts of a psychedelic substance, typically in the range of 50-250mg. This dosage differs from a recreational dose as users are still able to function without any disruptive effects. In fact, many users report an increase in focus, clarity, creativity, and empathy among many other positive changes. A large study recently published in the journal Scientific Reports shows that microdosing psilocybe cubensis resulted in greater improvements in mental health and mood than in individuals who did not engage in microdosing. The researchers found that microdosers showed greater improvements in mood and larger reductions in symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress over the study period than non-microdosers. These positive effects of microdosing were observed in all participants, regardless of whether they used psilocybe cubensis alone or a combination of either cubensis with lion’s mane or other functional mushrooms.

Moreover, microdosing resulted in similar levels of improvements in mental health and mood across age groups, genders, and among individuals who did or did not have mental health concerns.

Will Microdosing Cause Hallucinations?

This is one of the most common misconceptions of microdosing. Stimulated visuals typically don’t occur in dosages of less than 1g and visual hallucinations don’t occur in dosages of less than 5g.
